Teach Me Tuesday – Scrabble Tiles

Hi All!

I saw a funny tweet today about Mondays.  It said “I think God really only created 6 days a week and Satan created Mondays”.  Made me laugh because this is exactly how I felt Monday morning when the alarm went off.  Satan not only created Monday but I think he may have had a hand in my son’s mood Monday morning after the long spring break.  Yikes!

But … now it is Tuesday and time for another edition of Teach Me Tuesday.  Today I thought I would show you some cool things you can do with Scrabble tiles.  Just a side note – have you ever stepped on a Scrabble tile?  I know what I wanted to do with that tile when I stepped on it and it wasn’t a pretty craft project.  I digress …

I wanted to buy this for my photographer friend – cracked me up! I think most of us have seen these Scrabble tile necklaces. They are everywhere now – craft shows, boutiques and all over the internet. Here are some more super cute examples:

These would be so cool in your family’s initial. Of course you know I like them – they are burlap!

Wouldn’t this be amazing in a basement or a game room? You could really make it say anything you wanted … something special to you and your family.

More burlap pillows with one of my favorites words and activities on them … NAP! Seriously, who doesn’t love a good afternoon nap. I know that for me, a nap can change my entire outlook on the day.

I think this would be so great in a nursery or a neat little gift to your significant other. Once again, the sayings are endless.

See what I mean?

Scrabble coasters – great hostess gift. So easy – just glue the tiles to cork and there you go!

Possibilities in a nursery are endless. You could also put your family’s names together in your den or foyer. Pretty funky.

Look what I found … someone with the same idea as the family names. Great minds think alike I guess. Smile!

Scrabble tiles are the perfect size for wine charms. Have a variety and let your guests pick their first or last initial.

I am not quite sure what to say about this idea. You would have to be a serious Scrabble fan to put tiles on your wedding bouquet. Not really for me … but then I suck at Scrabble.

Now this is pretty cool …Scrabble fan or not.

I hope I have shown you that the possibilities of Scrabble tile projects are really endless. Now run down to the basement, dump your Scrabble box and get to work!

Hope your life is more heaven than havoc!
