See Our Rental in Isle of Palms

Hi All!

I thought you all might want to see where we are staying this week in Isle of Palms, South Carolina.  I found a great house on VRBO (Vacation Rentals by Owner).  If you have never rented a vacation home through VRBO you are really missing out.  I use this website all the time and have never been disappointed.  This vacation is no exception.

We needed a large house to accommodate all our kids, my two nieces and nephew and 2 of my daughter’s friends.  My husband and I are here with 7 teenage girls and 2 pre-teen boys.  It is crazy, logistically, to get everyone around – but the kids are having a blast!

Here are some pictures of the house we are staying in at The Wild Dunes Resort.  Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we are enjoying this home.  I have to say the house is even prettier than the pictures.  To see more about this house go to:

This is the exterior of the home.  It has a big, wrap-around porch with rocking chairs.  I have spent a lot of time out here – reading and spying on meeting the neighbors. It is a nice corner lot – just steps from the boardwalk to the beach.

This is the boardwalk down to the beach.  There is a little surf shop, ice cream shop and a great restaurant with amazing views.  The boardwalk has two pool on either side of the restaurant and leads to the beach.

The Beach!  Gorgeous!

The living room.  I love the ocean blue walls.  It is so soothing and peaceful in this room.

Living room from the other side.  The shell vases on the mantle are so funky and interesting.

The kitchen island is the most amazing shade of blue.  The counter tops are a white quartz and the back splash is a glass mosaic in many shades of ocean blue.  I know it is hard to see the window treatment, but they are fish and trimmed with small shells.  Super cute.

This eating area is right off the living room and next to the kitchen.  It is so comfortable and cozy.  Behind the eating area is an awesome sun porch.  It has french doors that close it off to make it private.  The sofa pulls out and it has its own flat screen TV.  Great little space.

Downstairs guest room – also has its own bath.  Very comfortable and nice neutral colors.

Guest room upstairs also with its own bath.  Aren’t these great colors?  Pinks, greens and yellows – so fun!

I am in love with this room.  The headboards are adorable and the colors are fabulous!  Who wouldn’t want to stay in this happy room?

Incredible Master.  Again – the colors make me drool.  Blue and green is so amazing together.  This is such a enchanting space.  I never want to leave.

I have probably spent the most time right out here on this screened in porch.  The chairs are so comfortable.  I love to sit out here in the morning and listen to the birds and quiet of the neighborhood.  I have eaten lunch out here everyday.  It is shady and so peaceful.

Well … I hope you enjoyed the tour.  We only have a couple more days.  I can say with all certainty that we will be back … I hate that we have to leave.

If you are ever in the area … this is one house I would highly recommend.

Hope your life is more heaven than havoc!

About Missi @ havoc to heaven

I am the President and CEO of the Smith House (according to me). I am married and we have four teenagers all within 3 1/2 years of each other - including a set of twins. Let's just say I log more miles on my car then a NY taxi driver. I am one crazy, busy lady. But - I know that the kids will be off to college soon enough so I relish the craziness and take lots of Xanax (oops I mean baths). I love to see things that are in havoc turn into heaven on earth. I am a self taught designer who has a passion for paint colors, fabrics, vintage accessories and everything on Etsy and Pinterest! I hope you enjoy my blog. I will be showing all kinds of scenarios that have been taken from "Havoc to Heaven" - from remodeling, refinishing and maybe just starting from scratch!
